# Siloed Borrowing

Siloed Borrowing is a specialized feature designed to accommodate assets with potentially volatile or manipulable oracles, such as illiquid Uni V3 pairs, by enabling them to be listed as single-borrow assets within our ecosystem. This strategic approach ensures that when an asset is designated as "siloed," it cannot be combined with other assets in the same borrowing position. This measure is crucial for minimizing the risk these assets may pose to the overall stability and solvency of Unleash Protocol.

### Siloed Borrowing in Unleash Protocol

Siloed borrowing functions as a safeguard, akin to a firewall, that prevents the potential risks associated with certain assets from affecting the broader protocol. By restricting the borrowability of these assets to standalone positions, Unleash Protocol effectively isolates any adverse impacts, ensuring a more secure lending environment for all participants.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.unleashprotocol.xyz/unleashmarket/siloed-borrowing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
