Investments

How does UIG make investments in projects?

Once a proposal is submitted for a specific project built on Story, the proposal will be submitted to UIG Members to decide whether to nominate the project for investment.

If an investment proposal is nominated, UIG Members will then vote on whether to invest in the project. If approved via the DApp, council members and the UIG team will engage in the transaction to invest in the project on the behalf of the Members of UIG. Investments may be held by UIG or allocated fractionally in the form of tokens to each Member based on the number of warrant tokens each Member holds.

What type of early-stage projects will UIG invest in?

For UIG, the ambition is to create a portfolio that represents the growth of the Story ecosystem. UIG's Members will set forth investment plans for the type of project that they wish to finance. It includes but is not limited to defi protocols, launchpads, insurances, wallets, payment providers, and integration tools. Feel free to submit a proposal for anything in that realm.

Who can view information included in investment proposals?

Investment proposals are viewable by the Members and potentially by the public. If you're a project founder, company, investor, or other developer and have additional questions regarding privacy concerns, please let us know.
